The
life of being an AGGIE:
Haha
well its been a while since I’ve updated.. so just thought I would just tell
you guys what I’ve been up to since I’ve been in college..
I
have a cool/easy going roommate.. her name is Justine.. haha yeah Christine and
Justine but yeah anyways.. shes great, shes from a town called Midland
by Odessa if
yall know where that is.. pretty much its in TX. Shes a chem. Major! Crazy! But
she is.. shes a little bit messy so she totally thinks I have OCD when I vacuum
or clean our sink like crazy or w/e.. haha but most of her friends from high
school ended up here so I’ve became friends with her friends so its been great.
The
food here is ok.. so far I’ve only been to the tomato bar, rumors, halabaloo,
and the underground, those are just like small dining places not like a
cafeteria atmosphere. Doing my first load of laundry was quite an experience,
haha I remember my mom calling me at least 7 times to make sure im doing
everything right. Haha yeah some girls in the laundry room had to help me out
hehe.. but I got the gist of it. Studying stinks! I’ve totally felt like a nerd
for the past few weeks but I came to a conclusion that studying can be fun! Yeah
it is stressful and I hate doing it.. but just getting into study groups and
FINALLY getting the stuff you thought you couldn’t get in class makes it even
better! I’ve met all sorts of interesting people since I’ve been here and just
made my life here in college an interesting one. Besides all the studying can’t
forget about the traditions here! Haha yeah im not going to lie.. I was a bit
weird out with they whole HOWDY deal.. but just getting use to it here, saying
HOWDY back isn’t too bad. The people in the core is pretty hard core! When I see
underclassmen “whipping out” to upperclassmen just seems sooo intense! “whipping
out” pretty much means when an underclassmen sees and upperclassmen in the
core, then the underclassmen has to “whip out” there hand and hold the
upperclassmen’s hand and pretty much say stuff like “HOWDY MA’AM OR SIR IM
CADDET SO AND SO IM IN THIS UNIT IN THIS MAJOR” yeah something like that its
pretty intense! But anyways.. out of all those awesome experiences the one and
most important of all in being an aggie is of course the AGGIE FOOTBALL TEAM!
The Aggie football has been an AWESOME
experience.. so far we’ve won all our home games and lost to Miami but I came to a conclusion that since I
didn’t watch the game or went to Kyle Field with the other AGGs is the only
reason why we lost haha.. ANYWAYS yeah just being in the field with other AGGS
doing the YELLS is just an awesome feeling! Im not going to lie standing up for
3-4 straight totally sucked! And being like extremely hott didn’t make it any
better! But again its all about getting use to which I did and enjoying it!
Besides
all the fun stuff about college.. I’ve still haven’t really found a church that
I feel totally comfortable with. Its been a struggle for me and it totally
stinks its been a month since I’ve been here and yet I still haven’t really
found a church that I enjoy going to.. please keep me in your prayers so I can
find the right church!
